Common Room
Room installation, former Jewish school, 1998
The cellar rooms of a former school building at Augustreet in Berlin were used until 1997 as classrooms for blind children. The common room of the cooks was placed vis-à-vis the dining area. The whole room was laminated by scrim as well as the objects like mirror, calendar, curtain and socket. Thus the complete room was temporary turned into a kind of intermediate stage without function and time.
